Philadelphia Eagles CB Cary Williams called the Patriots “cheaters” earlier in the month, and he came to play in Friday night’s Week 2 preseason matchup. In the first quarter, when TE Steve Maneri turned the wrong way and a pass from QB Tom Brady sailed behind him, Williams was all over it and picked it off. As he took off running down the field on the return, Brady attempted to knock Williams out of bounds near midfield. But the elusive CB slowed down as the 37-year-old QB went sliding by him toward the sideline after his failed tackle attempt. He hopped over Brady, did a spin-move and took it to the house for the game’s first score. It’s not the first time Williams has picked off Brady, either.
Cary Williams returned a Tom Brady pass 77-yards for a TD; Williams also picked off Brady at the end of the AFC Champ. Game 2 years ago — ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) August 15, 2014
