Video: Anthony Rizzo Flips Over Railing into Camera Well and Makes Spectacular Catch

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has been making sensational plays left and right this season, and was recently voted into his first ever All-Star game for consistently making highlight reel-type plays.

And during Sunday’s Cubs-Diamondbacks matchup, he made another spectacular catch that has already been turning heads.

After Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill popped up a ball into foul territory in the bottom of the sixth inning, Rizzo tracked it down perfectly and ran toward the camera well. He then flipped over the railing there, yet somehow still made the catch in midair without any issues. And he stuck the landing, too.

Runners were on the corners when Hill first came to the plate, and the run did score from third as he made the catch and fell into the camera well. But he prevented what could’ve been a huge inning with one of the best plays of the month thus far.

And he spoke about it after the game.
