Game Notes: The 12-game winning streak is over. It’s pretty good practice for the 11 we’ll rattle off in October. I cringe at saying this with Carlos Silva still fresh in my mind, but the opposing pitcher tonight is a pretty nice way to get back on the winning track. I’m hopeful we can win tonight for Wake and get his record closer to over .500. Wakefield has been a relevation this year, and perhaps has turned a corner and is entering the prime knuckleball years of his career (We all know about Phil Neikro, right?). With how much he’s meant to us since 1995, him entering his prime is a bit scary.
