Wolves 108, Nuggets 111

Leading by four points with 76 seconds remaining, the Wolves
surrendered the game’s final seven points on a night when they
committed eight fourth-quarter turnovers, missed two crucial free
throws as the seconds ticked away and again were lapped at the
free-throw line, where the Nuggets attempted 43 shots to their 15.

Now 1-20 on the road and 5-34 overall, they finished their season
series with the Nuggets by getting swept in four games for the first
time since Kevin Garnett was a rookie.

Wolves record: 5-34

Although Wolves players and coaches were careful
with their comments, trying to avoid any fines by the NBA, it was clear
exactly how they felt about the 111-108 loss to the Denver Nuggets on
Saturday night.

The Nuggets attempted 43 foul shots, their season
high, compared with 15 attempts for Minnesota. Wolves coach Randy
Wittman was especially upset with a ruling that went against his team
with 9.6 seconds left and his team trailing 109-108.

From the Star Tribune:
29 Double-doubles this season for the Wolves’ Al Jefferson after
he had 20 points and 16 rebounds. He’s second in the league in
double-doubles behind Orlando’s Dwight Howard, who has 37.
