Wolves Updates 5/24

From Nancy Marrapese-Burrell/Boston Globe:

Comcast SportsNet will air one-hour pre- and postgame shows for every Celtics-Pistons game. In addition, CSN will host online Celtics chats on Drivefor17.tv starting at 7:30 on game nights. Former Celtics forward Ryan Gomes, now with the Timberwolves, will work tomorrow’s Game 3 pre- and postgame broadcasts for CSN.

I also am encouraged by the fact that his mother, Alisha Mayo, and
Huntington attorney Mike Woelfel are handling O.J.’s issues for the
time being…

"Alisha and I were in Chicago Wednesday," said Woelfel, referring to
the site of Tim Grover’s sports complex where Mayo is training.

"We got to see Bill Walker (also a Huntington native) work out. He
looked phenomenal. I saw him dunk on Antoine Walker. He has lost about
20 pounds and is a jumping jack again. He looked like the old Bill."

Sekou Smith/The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has the Wolves taking Brook Lopez in the draft:
In a league that has and will
always value size and potential over production, Lopez has a rare
combination of all three. The Timberwolves need a true center to pair
with Al Jefferson along their rebuilt frontline. Snagging one that can
play both ends of the floor as well as Lopez does is a bonus.
