An open letter to LeBron James

The news has broken and the Cavaliers are pissed off.

Mo Williams has now been snubbed twice for the NBA All-Star Game, and the word from the actual Cav players is that they’re angry.  Ben Wallace and Cavs owner Dan Gilbert were even making up new words to escribe their frustration;

“Ben Wallace was right when he called Mo originally being passed over for the All-Star Game a shamockery,” Gilbert said. “But not naming him as the natural and obvious replacement for the unfortunately injured Jameer Nelson is stupidiculous, idillogical and preposterageous.”

LeBron James will be the only player representing the Cavaliers, who have the second-best record in the NBA.  By the time next week’s All-Star Game is played, it is possible Cleveland will be #1 in the league, but will only send one player to the big game.  Yes, that’s preposterageous.

LeBron James, if you are reading this, here’s my advice.  There are two ways to show how much of a farce this is.  The first obvious solution is to beat the living hell out of everybody the rest of the season and win the whole damn thing.  But there’s a better way to show your disapproval.

Don’t go.

Yes, that’s right.  Withdraw from the All-Star Game.

If they can’t recognize the talent on this squad enough to bring Williams onto the team, then they don’t deserve to have you in Phoenix either.  Stay home and watch the game on TV with your teammates and families.  Use the 6 days off to practice and to rest up for the season’s final 31 games and the playoffs.

But just don’t go.  Tell them it’s for personal reasons…..and then show the NBA how personal it really was by whipping their collective asses.

They don’t deserve you in their game, and they don’t WANT your teammates.  They told you loud and clear that your teammates aren’t worthy and are not invited to play.

Just stay home.
