Good Lord what a playoffs this young man is having. After Jussi Jokinen’s skate tipped in the puck with .02 seconds left in Round 1/Game 4 – he came through in the clutch yet again as the Canes topped the B’s in OT tonight. Captain Clutch indeed. But one question here:
How in the hell did so many teams say “No Thanks” on this guy as he passed through waivers this year? Jimmy Boy Rutherford traded for him late in the season and “The Juice” is having one whale of a post-season. While he has mostly been known as a one-trick pony doing his shootout thing, Jussi has been simply brilliant in most every Hurricanes playoff game. He scored the tying goal in game 7 against New Jersey. He was the only one who could crack Timmy Thomas in Game 1. Then he finds a way to finish the Bruins off tonight in overtime:
Add tonight’s pimp-slap winning goal to the already growing legend of “The Juice Is Loose” in 2009.
(PS – @Kevin,Ryan,Loser Domi – how are you guys enjoying the playoffs? Have I told you how much fun going to playoff games has been? Oh wait, that’s right – none of your teams could make it to the post-season. My bad, I forgot.)
