Titans to watch tonight

As we await tonight’s game to kick off the start of the NFL’s 2009 season, here are a few non-rookie Titans whose play I’ll be particularly interested in tonight:

1.  Vince Young.  An obvious name, but still an important one.  If Jeff Fisher sticks to the plan, he’ll start the third drive and get one drive to start the second half.

2.  William Hayes.  Andrew just put up pictures of him with his new frame.  With Jacob Ford not expected to play tonight, he’ll have a chance to impress and may play much of the game with Kearse the only other guy listed at LDE.

3.  Kevin Vickerson.  Like Hayes, he changed his body in the offseason and is toward the bottom of a crowded depth chart.  He may need a good preseason to make the team.

4.  LenDale White.  Shedding the Patron this offseason helps him shed the nickname “LenWhale”, but will he still be slow and will he still have power?

5.  Cary Williams.  Right now, in imagining a parade of horribles for the 09 Titans, the worst may be an injury to Cortland Finnegan.  The early reviews on this second year small school 7th round pick corner have been pretty positive, but there have been a number of players who can’t translate practice into real game action.  We want to love you, Cary-help us do it.

Are there any other players you’re interested in watching tonight?
