It’s a Walk Off: Clete Gives Tigers Walk Off Win

For the second day in a row, I think I’ll say what I need to say with a picture.  Above you see Clete and a sign in the background that says “Tigers win!” That’s exactly how it went down.  First you see Clete, then you see a Tigers win.  The RBI single in the ninth capped Detroit’s come from behind victory and put them an extra half game up on the White Sox (who are off today).

Here are three other top pictures from Thursday afternoon’s big win.

Inge makes the catch and then gets help from his underaged friends with the keg.

He made a similar catch a couple innings later.  No beer this time, though.

And I’m a sucker for walk off celebrations, especially when it’s the team I’m rooting for.  Miguel’s confident fist pump as he came in to score the winning run takes the cake; although I’d have to say Jim Leyland running onto the field to hug Clete at first base was pretty cool, too.  How many managers in the MLB do that? Probably not many.  Then again, Jimmy still wears his spikes like he plays.

And of course, how could we forget our friend Billy Zane. He’s a cool dude.
