Tigers Score One Run Again and Lose; White Sox Win

backandforth
This won’t be long.  I’ll let the picture say the other 1,273 words I was planning on typing.  The Central Division has become a back-and-forth game of checkers.  If you look at the L10 category (teams’ record in the last ten games), you’ll notice that everyone is playing just about .500 baseball.
For the Tigers, that might be all it’ll take to get into the playoffs.  With 43 games left in the season, Detroit may only need to win 22 of those.  That would give Detroit 85 wins and a playoff spot in my opinion, barring an uncharacteristic hot streak from the White Sox or Twins.  In 2006, St. Louis won the NL Central with just 83 games.  Unfortunately, we all know how that season ended for them… Are the Tigers this year’s 2006 Cardinals?  Stay tuned.
