Judge in Coyotes Case No Poet Laureate

Today, Judge Redfield Baum rejected both bids in the Coyotes case — I don’t know how that works… So nobody owns the team now? — and, in his ruling, he decided to have some fun with hockey puns. And we thought the law was serious business.

“In hockey parlance, the court is passing the puck to the NHL, who can decide to take another shot at the sale net or it can pass off the puck,” Judge Baum wrote.

Yeah, I don’t know what the ‘sale net’ is but don’t quit your day job.
