Find a Place For This Man (or Beast)

Yup, he’s still “The Animal”. And Chris Carter needs to find a home in Queens very soon.

It may be an unhealthy obsession of mine, but Carter has to be more useful than Fernando Tatis has been to this point. Lefty or righty, doesn’t matter. Production is production. And Carter, who we got to keep a tab on thanks to SNY broadcasting the 6-4 Bisons win today, had two hits including the game-winner, a walk-off two run shot in a four run 11th inning.

So the question is this: Which Mets’ front office person does Carter have to have discreet photos of to get a call-up?

Dillon Gee gave up ten hits in six and 2/3’s, but helped himself with a behind-the-back wowser on a 1-6-3 double play. And Mike Hessman narrowly avoided a lawsuit as his two-run homer just missed the freeway. Hessman also had a big game tying hit in the 11th, a two-run single.

Also, Jesus Feliciano’s ten game winning streak ended. Between that and the Mets recent winning streak, I guess this means that the Mets don’t need Jesus anymore, as one of Mike Francesa’s callers seemed to think.
