For the most part, game three in the preseason is the one where most of the starters go the longest, and today should be no exception; well, barring all those Buccaneers players named Josh Freeman who will NOT be suited up tonight. Freeman has a thumb injury sustained from last weeks blow to a helmet by his thumb, and will be held out of preseason action until he is ready to face Cleveland on opening day. The Bucs play the Jaguars quite a bit in the preseason, this is the 9th consecutive meeting, and the series has been a history of streaks. Tampa Bay won the first two back in 2002 and 2003, but lost the next five until the Bucs got the best of the Jags last year. That was after Jacksonville went on top on the first play of the game on the Jim Bates defense of 2009. Will the streak continue? The last time these two teams met in the regular season, it was a heartbreaking loss in 2007 when Jeff Garcia finally showed he was human and threw his first picks of the year, all three of them, against the Jags. SOME BUCS JAGS CONNECTIONS The Bucs will face a familiar foe tonight, as QB Luke McCown will try to get a little preseason revenge for being cut loose by the Buccaneers during the 2009 preseason battle with Byron Leftwich, who will be in town in a month or so as the Steelers take on the Bucs early in the 2010 schedule. Also, Jags QB Coach Mike Shula, of the famous Mike Shula offensive coordinator from 1996 to 1999, will seek HIS revenge for being cut loose by the Glazers! Revenge is in the air! Dont miss the game, and speaking of which…. WATCH THE GAME LIVE ON YOUR PC or MAC With all due respect to the Bucs and the NFL, I will be watching the game on the internet, and so should you. Here is the website you go to… http://channelsurfing.net/ Then navigate your way to the Bucs game at the appropriate time. Checking the message boards at Bucpower.com is another good place because they are over in the UK and cannot watch the game, so they constantly search for ways to get it.
