Celtics move training camp back to Newport

Via Chris Forsberg:

Earlier this month, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge indicated that his team would stick close to home
and hold its annual training camp at its own practice facility in
Waltham. With a late audible, the Green will hit the road instead and
spend five days in Newport, R.I., according to the team's media
relations staff.

As it has each of the past two seasons, Boston will camp on the
campus of Salve Regina University, holding daily practice sessions from
Sept. 28-Oct. 2 before reverting to its home base. The Celtics open an
eight-game exhibition slate on Wednesday, Oct. 6 against the
Philadelphia 76ers in Manchester, N.H.

Last month Paul Pierce expressed his desire to move training camp out of Newport. Danny Ainge granted his request and scheduled workouts in lovely Waltham, a move that must have had the guys begging to stay in Newport.

See you at the Pelham, Paul.

Did anyone have luck getting tickets this morning?
