Spartan Fan Risks Death to Watch Saturday’s Michigan-MSU Game

MSU football fan Major Hester might have a death wish. Hester needs a pacemaker installed in his heart, but has postponed his surgery until after Saturday’s Michigan-MSU game. He was originally scheduled to have the procedure done today, but didn’t want complications to stop him from seeing the game.

“You never know. It’s like going into combat. You may come home alive or you may come home dead.”

Even being on the other side, I can appreciate Mr. Hester’s dedication to seeing what is one of the most-hyped games this rivalry has ever seen. That being said, postponing surgery like this is never a great idea. Hopefully Hester’s ticker can handle yet another heartbreaking Spartan loss at the hands of the Wolverines.
