UConn Women Add Recruit For 2012 Class

Morgan TuckWell it looks as though Tuesday night’s 65-64 win over the No. 2 Baylor Bears has already paid dividends for Geno Auriemma and the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team.

After coming to the XL Center in Hartford, CT, high school junior Morgan Tuck from Illinois has given a verbal commitment to Auriemma and the Huskies for the class of 2012 according to ESPN HoopGurlz. Tuck was seen behind the bench on an unofficial visit at the game on Tuesday night.

Tuck, who is a 6’2″ forward, is the No. 12 high school prospect in the country by ESPN HoopGurlz for the class of 2012. Coming off of an ACL injury last year, Tuck  led Bolingbrook HS (IL) to their second straight Illinois 4A state title and averaged 18.2 points and 7.5 rebounds as a sophomore.

Breanna Stewart, who is the No. 1 ranked player for 2012, is considering UConn along with nine other schools.
