Nets Back Off From 3-Team Trade, Rip Hamilton Still Nowhere to Be Found

Nets owner and KGB boss Mikhail Prokhorov abruptly stopped trade talks with the Denver Nuggets yesterday, halting the massive 3-team deal that would have, among other things, sent Rip Hamilton to New Jersey in return for Troy Murphy and filler contracts. Despite making $12.5 million this season, Hamilton hasn’t played since January 10th against the Chicago Bulls.

Though the team said that the benching was unrelated to trade talks, it was hard to believe with how everything was timed. Seeing that Hamilton didn’t play again in last night’s loss at Boston, there may be more to this situation than we originally thought. Still, it hasn’t stopped some fans from searching long and hard for one of their favorite players.

Rip Hamilton Waldo
Nope, still can’t find him.
