You know things didn’t go well for the Red Wings when the highlight of the night is a 3rd pairing defenseman beating up a washed up enforcer. Still, I have to give credit to Jonathan Ericsson for taking care of business against Steve Ott.
Jimmy Howard almost got into a scrap of his own in the second period after he took offense to the net-crashing tactics of supreme douchebag Mike Ribeiro (remember this?), but the Wings showed little fight otherwise.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Wings-Stars matchup without some shoddy officiating. Ineptitude reared its ugly head again last night with this goalie interference call on Tomas Holmstrom… despite Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen being nowhere near his crease.
Yeah, it was just one of those games.
