Awesome Old Videos: Magglio Ordonez’s 2006 ALCS Walk-Off Home Run

Let’s face it: after being blown out by the Twins and Royals on the last two days, Tigers fans need a pick-me-up. While the news that Jacob Turner will be getting another MLB start this season is exciting, nothing is better for curing what ails you than Magglio Ordonez’ walk-off home run in the 2006 ALCS.

To those that were at that particular game, I will forever be jealous of you (no matter how cold it was). Regardless, it’s impossible to forget where you were when Maggs took Huston Street deep to send the Tigers to the World Series. I was watching on a tiny TV in a dorm room at Central Michigan, and you might have thought that a bomb went off after hearing the eruption of people throughout the halls. It was an unforgettable moment, even though the next series was as forgettable as they come.

So, Tigers fans, take a short trip back in time. Where were you when Maggs hit his walk-off home run in ’06? Leave your stories in the comments.
