(Maybe with his big payday Mr. Cerrone can buy himself some manners)

It’s a pretty good gig if you are talented enough (and willing to put in the billion hours of work) to get it – 76 seconds in the Octagon last night for Cowboy Cerrone earned him $183,600.  And Jake Shields didn’t do so bad for himself, either – his $150,000 payday puts him among the top 10 earning fighters this year.

Before we go any further, we should note that the Colorado Athletic Commission doesn’t release fighter pay info, so none of the following salary data for the event is official.  However, you can get a fairly accurate picture of a fighter’s pay based on official purse info released from past fights.  So, based on that info, here is the estimated pay breakdown for the 20 fighters that traded blows at the event (but please remember – this is only an estimate, not official info, especially for any fighters that made their UFC debuts at the event).
