Hard to believe we are already half way through the season. I think so far we learned that just about anyone can beat anyone and that the NFC appears to be stronger than the AFC. –For MLB betting, try Top Bet (click here) — Also, the Falcons seem to be best team in the NFL. They are still undefeated and holding on to the #1 spot. However, they don’t seem invincible, and the power ranks show that. The Bears, who have a loss, are only 0.87 points behind (last week, they were only 0.26 behind). The Giants, who won a crazy game against the Cowboys, jumped to #3 over the idle Texans. The 49ers stayed at #5 after crushing Arizona in a game I probably should have but didn’t attend in person.
On the low end of the NFL, the Chiefs are just awful. They are deep in last place and it doesn’t even count this Thursday’s humiliating loss. The Panthers and Jaguars must think it’s still 1995…they just keep losing too and sit at #31 and #32. The Browns ugly, wet win over the Chargers moved them out of the bottom 5, pushing down Buffalo to #29 and they are joined in the bottom 5 by the Eagles, who lost to the undefeated Falcons and can’t get anything going offensively.
We had a lot of large moves as a bunch of teams shuffle around in mediocrity. The Lions were the biggest gainers, jumping 9 spots, followed by the Raiders, who won their 2nd in a row to jump 8 spots. The biggest losers were the Rams, who dropped 10 spots after getting crushed in England by New England. The Cowboys also dropped 9 spots after almost getting blown out then almost winning against the Giants.
