Sacramento Kings to work out six prospects before formal introduction of new coach Mike Malone

The Sacramento Kings announced that six prospects from this year’s draft will work out at the team’s practice facility tomorrow afternoon.  Rudy Gobert highlights the group of six.  Chad Ford of ESPN.com has the French center slotted as the 17th overall pick in his most recent mock draft.  They will be tested and evaluated prior to the formal introduction of new head coach Mike Malone.

The players for tomorrow’s workout are listed below.

Will Cherry

  • Position: Guard
  • College: Montana
  • Height: 6-1
  • Weight: 181 lbs.

  • Quick Breakdown: Strong defender but a tweener with a suspect jumper

Chris Evans

  • Position: Forward
  • College: Kent State
  • Height: 6-8
  • Weight: 220 lbs.

  • Quick Notes: Led the Golden Flashes in points (16.2 points per game) and rebounding (7.7 rebounds per game) and was named First Team All-MAC Conference.

Rudy Gobert

  • Position: Center
