What to watch

1. Who starts the pivotal preseason game no. 6?

Coach Malone has been clear that he expects to tighten the rotation in the Kings’ final two preseason games.  With four position battles still up for grabs, there’s a lot of intrigue for a preseason game.  Who starts?  Who sits?  What does the rotation look like?

2. The health of Luc Mbah a Moute

We keep asking this question, and Mbah a Moute keeps leaving us hanging.  According to the former Milwaukee Buck, he is playing in the final two preseason games after missing most of training camp and all but one of the team’s games so far.  With Salmons and Outlaw firmly planted in neutral, maybe Mbah a Moute pulls a last-second shocker and steals the position.

3. What happens with Jimmer Fredette?

After receiving the dreaded DNP-CD two of the first four games, Jimmer has come on like gangbusters.  The third-year guard is shooting 57.7 percent from the field and 61.5 percent from long range.  A week ago, he was out of the rotation, and now he’s playing well enough to win the starting job.
