We have heard new Sacramento owner Vivek Ranadivé talk about his NBA 3.0 plan and his hopes to make the Kings a global brand. Today, we saw the first step with the announcement of www.kings.com/hindi, a new section on the Kings’ website dedicated to reaching the team’s growing fan base in the Indian and Asian markets.

“A key facet of our ownership group’s vision is for the Kings to become India’s home team,” Kings President Chris Granger said in the team’s official prses release. “Between our dance team performing in India this summer, a live telecast on Sony Six for our home opener, and the launch of the website, we are committed to reaching out to India, and all of Asia, in a comprehensive way. This is just the beginning.”

Kings.com/hindi will feature stories, interviews, as well as player and game information written in Hindi. It is a huge first step in the team’s attempt to bring the NBA game to Ranadivé’s native land and just in time for the Kings home opener against the Denver Nuggets that will be televised in India.
