What to watch

1. Lineup changes

Michael Malone will debut some new adjustments to his lineup and rotation.  After a 1-5 start to the season, the Kings head coach had seen enough.  He’s said that there won’t be any wholesale changes, but he does plan to use some different combinations of players on the floor.  Don’t be surprised to see a little more of Ben McLemore and Jimmer Fredette at the two and Luc Mbah a Moute finding time either at the three or four.

2. Pace

The Nets are one of the more veteran-laden teams in the league.  Sacramento may need to turn up the speed and test the legs of veterans like Garnett, Pierce and Johnson.  If this becomes a half court game, the Kings are in trouble.

3. Will pride take over?

After a thrilling win on opening night, the Kings have gone in the tank and lost five straight.  This is game no. 2 of a five-game home stand.  Sacramento needs to right the ship before the schedule gets much tougher in the month of December.  Lineup changes may help correct some of the team’s shortcomings, but the Kings need to show some pride, especially on their home floor.
