What to watch

1. Can the Kings snap the Grizzlies win streak?

The Kings are nearing the halfway point of their six-game road trip and so far, they are hanging tough at 1-1.  Tonight in Memphis, they take on one of the leagues hottest teams.  The Grizzlies currently own a four game win streak and have climbed back to .500 after a rough start to the season.

2. DeMarcus Cousins vs. Marc Gasol

It seems like every game we list Cousins and whomever he is facing as one of the keys to the game.  I guess that’s the way it goes when you are averaging 23.4 points and 11.6 rebounds per game.  Cousins is riding a 12 game double-double streak and needs one more to tie LaSalle Thompson for the Sacramento era record for most consecutive double-doubles.  He takes on Gasol, who won the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award last season.

3. How does Rudy Gay fare against his old team?

Memphis jettisoned Gay and his large contract to Toronto last season in an effort to save money.  After an up and down stint with the Raptors, Gay is back in Memphis with his Kings teammates hoping to climb one game closer to even on the season.  Gay dropped in a new season-high 33 points on Wednesday against the Timberwolves and is currently averaging 20.8 points per game through 17 games with Sacramento.
