Rajai Davis was acquired because he has the ability to create runs with his legs (and because they needed depth in the outfield), and he created the game-winning run against the A’s on Tuesday night.

Davis witnessed A’s catcher Derek Norris lollygagging on his throws back to the pitcher, and perhaps the pitcher doing the same thing upon catching the return throw, so Davis exploited it for a stolen base. Davis would later score on a ground out on which he would not have scored otherwise.
