For those looking ahead in the recruiting game, Rivals unveiled its top 100 list for the Class of 2016. Penn State commit Miles Sanders comes in at No. 42. (Updated 7/30/2014: Five-star defensive end Shane Simmons checks in at No. 25)

The Big Ten has just two players currently committed in the Class of 2016 that appear on this latest ranking. Illinois offensive lineman Erik Swenson is currently committed to Michigan. Swenson is ranked No. 70 on the list. The SEC, to no surprise, dominates the Rivals 100 in 2016 right now with 12 players.

Sanders, a running back, is a four-star recruit out of western Pennsylvania’s Woodland Hills High School. He gave his verbal to Penn State earlier this month. As it stands right now, Sanders is also the highest rated recruit in the state of Pennsylvania according to Rivals.

Updated 7/30/2014: Penn State added a second player on the list with the commitment of Maryland defensive end Shane Simmons.
