Red Sox Bring Back Koji

The Red Sox have signed relief pitcher Koji Uehara to a 2-year $18 million dollar contract.  The Sox had exclusive rights to negotiate with him until Tuesday and were able to work out the deal before other teams got in the mix.

Koji went from unhittable during 2013 and part of 2014 to an inconsistent reliever in the second half of 2014.  Most of this can be blamed on a lower back injury that seems to be better now.  Koji was able to have a few good innings at the end of the season which gave the team confidence that he can once again be the dominant pitcher he was in 2013.
