Three things to ponder

1. Transition defense

Golden State is an elite ball club this season in part to their deadliness in transition. The Warriors lead the league in fast break points per game (19.4) by taking advantage of incohesive, backpedaling defenses to secure open looks from 3. The Kings surrendered 21 fast break points to the Warriors on October 29 despite their outside shooting struggles, so Sacramento needs to stay on their toes.

2. Winning inside

The Warriors don’t allow easy shots, period. Golden State leads the NBA in opponent field goal percentage (41.6) and blocks per game (6.7), but they’ll be without defensive cog Andrew Bogut (knee). David Lee is expected back on Monday after missing all but one game this season, but the Kings should still bring the battle down low.

3. Turnovers

This sounds like a broken record, but the Kings can’t afford to be careless with the ball. Sacramento spilled a season-high 27 turnovers which led to 26 points in their loss to Golden State on October 29.
