Sacramento Kings in mix to start All-Star Game

The first balloting results to elect starters for the 64th NBA All-Star Game were released on Christmas, and two Sacramento Kings earned recognition.

In a format where three frontcourt players and two guards from each conference form the lineups, DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay rank seventh (117,003 votes) and 11th (51,873) respectively on the Western Conference frontline.

If lineups were declared today, Anthony Davis (524,623 votes), Blake Griffin (307,908), Marc Gasol (227,554), Stephen Curry (549,095) and Kobe Bryant (521,542) would start for the West. LeBron James (552,967), Carmelo Anthony (265,170), Pau Gasol (247,953), John Wall (299,209) and Dwayne Wade (265,917) would start for the East.

Fan voting will conclude on January 19, and final results will be announced on TNT on January 22. The 64th NBA All-Star Game will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on February 15.
