Here is the latest news live from Sleep Train Arena:

  • The Sacramento Kings (16-23) are officially decimated by injuries.  DeMarcus Cousins is out with a right ankle sprain.  Carl Landry is nursing a sprained right wrist, Ramon Sessions is still struggling with back pain and Rudy Gay is a game time decision with a left knee issue.  The Los Angeles Clippers (26-14) come in with a clean bill of health and look to forget about last night’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.  “We really try to not focus on who we’re playing, we try to focus on keeping our bedroom clean,” coach Doc Rivers said.  “We focus on us.  That’s it.”
  • Before coming to the Kings this summer as a free agent, Darren Collison spent last season with the Clippers.  Rivers had nothing but great things to say tonight about his former reserve guard: “He’s been great. We stay in contact, and I just love him. He’s a good kid. Forget that he’s a good player, he’s just a great guy to have in your locker room too. We miss that as well. We miss his speed. I’m happy for him because if you remember a year ago, or two years ago, when we signed him a month before the season and no one wanted to sign him. And now he’s a starting point guard and one of the better ones . It’s really nice that he got a re-do. In Indiana, he started, I don’t know what happened from that point on, and then he got to us, and he resurrected himself. It was him, it wasn’t us. So I’m just happy when good guys keep working and good things work out for them.”
  • With Cousins out, the Kings will turn to veteran Ryan Hollins to man the center position alongside Jason Thompson.  If Gay is out, the plan is to turn to Derrick Williams at the wing.
  • The Kings turned to the Reno Bighorns for an extra body, signing 22-year-old forward Quincy Miller to a 10-day contract.  Miller was leading the D-League in scoring at 26.3 points per game at the time of his call up and has a history with Kings general manager Pete D’Alessandro.  “It’s exciting man, especially with this team,” Miller said during pregame.
