The Kings’ injury report for today’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.

  • The Sacramento Kings have listed DeMarcus Cousins as probable with a right ankle sprain.  The 24-year-old center appeared to aggravate the injury on Friday against the Miami Heat and missed Saturday’s match versus the Los Angeles Clippers. Cousins has played 28 of 40 games this season.
  • Rudy Gay has been upgraded to probable for tonight’s contest with a left knee capsule sprain and left shoulder strain. Gay missed Friday’s game against the Heat, but came off the bench on Saturday to score 22 points in 34 minutes.  This season the nine-year NBA vet has missed three games due to injury.
  • Carl Landry is ruled out tonight against the Trail Blazers with a right wrist sprain. He will miss his third straight game and third of the season after appearing in the Kings’ first 38 contests. Landry had emerged as Sacramento’s best offensive player off the bench, scoring 8.2 points on 53.5 percent shooting in 18.7 minutes per match.
  • Ramon Sessions has turned a corner with his low back strain and is probable for tonight’s contest. The point guard has battled the issue for three weeks and has missed 12 straight and 13 of 14 games for Sacramento. Sessions is averaging a career-low 6.1 points and 2.5 assists in 17.1 minutes per game (25 appearances, three starts). Ray McCallum has played well in his absence and the veteran’s spot in the rotation is no guarantee.
  • Omri Casspi is probable with a left knee bone contusion and eye abrasion. The forward had missed 12 games this season due to the knee problem, but returned on Friday and logged 17 minutes versus the Heat. Casspi suffered the eye abrasion in the first quarter on Saturday versus the Clippers and didn’t return.
  • Rookie forward Eric Moreland is out for the season with a left shoulder labral tear. He made three appearances, totaling two minutes of action in the NBA this season.

According to the Kings’ “Participation Status Key,” Cousins, Gay, Sessions and Casspi’s probable status make them a 75 percent chance to go. We will keep you updated on the status of each player as we find out more.
