Three things to ponder

1. Finesse to a fault

The Trail Blazers live and die by the jumper. They rank second in the NBA in 3-point takes, third in 3-point makes, but only 29th in points in the paint per game. The Kings surrender the eighth-most triples per contest, so they’ll need to shore up their defense around the arc.

2. Turnover watch

In a win over Portland on October 31, Sacramento spilled 10 turnovers, and in a January 19 loss, the team recorded 23. The Kings have averaged 19.75 turnovers in the four games since George Karl took over, an unacceptable number.

3. The super sub

Portland comes to town ready to show off their brand new, shiny toy, Aaron Afflalo. In three games since arriving in a trade along with Alonzo Gee from the Denver Nuggets, the two-way shooting guard/forward has produced a nightly average of 12 points on 55 percent shooting off the bench.
