Three things to ponder

1. Team in disarray

The Knicks are akin to an accident on the side of the road you feel bad for peeking at, and try to forget. The NBA’s worst team this season is an injury-riddled mess of epic proportions, and they can’t run, score or defend, but they know how to lose for James Dolan. Tanking is in full swing.

2. Bombs away

The Kings, who come into tonight 29th in the NBA in 3-point makes per game (5.1), face a perfect remedy in the Knicks, who allow the highest opponent 3-point percentage in the league by far (38.6). In particular, this is a match wavering rookie Nik Stauskas can get things rolling from downtown.

3. Setting the tone

Following the contest in New York, Sacramento plays seven more road games in a row. A win versus the lowly Knicks would serve as a needed momentum builder (by default), while a loss might set the Kings franchise back decades.
