Three things to ponder

1. Injury bug infestation

The Timberwolves have been ravaged by injuries. Minnesota fielded only eight healthy bodies in their last contest on Friday, and they’ll once again be without Gorgui Dieng (consussion), Anthony Bennett (ankle), Kevin Garnett (knee) and Gary Neal (ankle) against the Kings. Rudy Gay (concussion), who has missed Sacramento’s last three games, is set to return tonight, but DeMarcus Cousins (foot) will sit out.

2. Turnover count

Despite beating Minnesota in both matches this season, Sacramento made the outcomes dicey with their sloppy play. The Kings lost a total of 38 turnovers while the Timberwolves spilled 24, so the self-inflicted harm must end.

3. Ex-wolf Williams

Derrick Williams, the Timberwolves’ No. 2 pick in 2011, averages 15 points per game playing his former team, the most for any opponent. Nonetheless, the high-flying 6-foot-8 forward will be expected to contribute in other ways after totaling one rebound, no assists and no blocks in his last 53 minutes of NBA floor time.
