The Kings’ injury report for today’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

  • Omri Casspi joins a star-studded Kings injury list for the final game of the 2014-15 season.  The 26-year-old wing is struggling with gastroenteritis and is out for tonight’s contest.  Casspi has flourished under head coach George Karl in the final 30 games of the season.  The sixth-year pro is averaging 8.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in 21.1 minutes over 67 games this year.
  • Rookie Nik Stauskas is probable with a lower back strain.  The former Michigan star would love nothing more than to have a breakout game heading into the summer.  Stauskas is averaging just 4.2 points in 72 games for Sacramento this season.
  • DeMarcus Cousins has been ruled out with right foot rest and rehab.  The Kings All-Star center will miss his 23rd game this season due to either injury or illness.  For the year, the 24-year-old center is averaging 24.1 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.5 steals in 34.1 minutes per game.
  • Rudy Gay is out with a concussion. Per NBA rules, a player with continuing concussion symptoms is not allowed to play.  The small forward has missed 14 contests this season and is averaging 21.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
  • Reggie Evans is out with a sprained right thumb.  The 34-year-old veteran has played in just 47 games with the Kings this season averaging 3.7 points and 6.4 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per night.
  • Darren Collison is out for the rest of the season with a core muscle injury.  The 27-year-old guard underwent successful surgery on March 3 in Philadelphia.
  • Rookie forward Eric Moreland is out for the season with a left shoulder labral tear. He made three appearances, totaling two minutes of action in the NBA this season. Moreland is expected to be back for Summer League in Las Vegas.

According to the Kings’ “Participation Status Key,” Stauskas’ probable label gives him a 75 percent chance of suiting up. The Kings will suit up just nine healthy bodies tonight in Los Angeles.
