Rex Ryan Returns For Monday Night Showdown

The Bills will make the trip to Foxborough as they prepare to take on the Patriots Monday night. This is going to be a good one as the Bills are coming off a mini bye week after a Thursday night victory over the Jets. This will not be a walk in the park as the Patriots have an extensive list of injuries going into Monday night. Belichick said is perfectly saying “It’s always a tough against them.”

It’s the Bills and the Dolphins every year one of them puts up a big fight and we haven’t really seen that from them yet. So could Monday night be that night it’s a good possibility. The Bills are hot right now sense the Jaguars meltdown they have beaten 2 teams in the conference.

The big questions right now are how the injuries are looking for the Pats. Belichick was asked about a timetable for Dane Fletcher and Chris Jones. He responded by saying “I think the final day for them is after the Buffalo game – Tuesday or Wednesday after the Buffalo game, whatever it is.”

One person who has really has risen to the occasion of all the injuries is Aaron Dobson. He will now be giving a chance to prove himself as we will need him with all the teams’ injuries.

Belichick was asked if he was taken advantage of his opportunities. Belichick had this to say “he big thing for Aaron really since the start of the year is he’s been healthy and he’s been out there every day working hard. He’s another guy who shows up in practice a lot, similar to Harper, makes a lot of catches in practice against the defense and gets open. ”

The biggest injury for the Patriots of course is Julian Edelman. He underwent surgery this week and it was successful. But still he is weeks away from a return. This will be a Danny Amendola centered receiving core. I have been very impress with his play as of lately as he as shown he can be consistent. That was the main thing for me was can he be consistent and I think he has proven himself in the past weeks.

With Edelman out Amendola’s role will definitely be changing as somebody’s got to catch the ball. But Belichick would never come out and say that so he gave this semi humorous answer. “He’s going to basically play the same position and do the same things that he’s done. We’re not moving him to tackle or anything. He’s going to do what he does.”

As we all know it’s not a week vs. the Bills until Rex Ryan opens his mouth. This time he even showed some frustration towards the New England media. They asked him why he was mad at them to what he said “I just think the way that you guys spin everything, you put everything I say, whatever it is, you just put it out there the way you want to and I understand it. You guys have covered this matchup for years and years. We’ve got no business being on the same field, that’s what you said, I’ve lost seven of eight against them, so don’t talk to me. I’ll just sit back here and answer the questions and whatever but I don’t know why you even bother.”

This is going to be a fun one Monday night as it will be a real test for the Patriots on their revenge tour.
