PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for games ending Nov. 22.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Shaquille Harrison ∙ Sr. ∙ G ∙ Tulsa

Harrison led Tulsa to three wins last week, including a win over then No. 9 Wichita State. He averaged 25.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game and scored a career-high 31 points against Ohio on Friday, including 23 in the second half. The Golden Hurricane overcame a 19-point deficit in the comeback win over the Bobcats.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Dedric Lawson ∙ Fr. ∙ G/F ∙ Memphis

Lawson averaged 19.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game in a 1-1 week for the Tigers. He became the first Memphis freshman since Lorenzen Wright (January 1995) to have a 20-point, 15-rebound game when he put up 22 points and 15 boards against No. 8 Oklahoma on Nov. 17. Lawson followed that with a 16-point, six-rebound performance against Grambling State on Nov. 19.

Averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in wins over New Hampshire and Furman

Caleb White ∙ Jr. ∙ F ∙ East Carolina

Averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists last week, shot 56-percent (10-of-18) from the field

Devonta Pollard ∙ Sr. ∙ F ∙ Houston

Shot 93-percent (13-of-14) from the free-throw line and 67-percent overall in a 2-0 week for Houston, averaged 20.5 points per game
