BOB ARUM AND TOP RANK PROMOTIONS PREMIERS “BOMB FACTORY FIGHT CLUB” IN DALLAS, TEXAS / DALLAS’ OSCAR MOJICA RETURNS TO THE RING

By

With all the boxing programs, boxing gyms, boxing talent, and world ranked fighters here in Dallas, Texas, Dallas is quickly becoming one of the top cities to go see professional boxing.  This Saturday, Top Rank Promotions is adding to this renaissance of the sweet science and is introducing the BOMB FACTORY FIGHT CLUB at the Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum, Dallas, Texas.  Because of the smaller venue but capacity for approximately 2000 people, you can’t get a bad seat, and it has a balcony view.

Not only is Saturday’s fights the place to go to see it live, but it is also being broadcast on the “Solo Boxeo Tecate” card throughout the country by UNIMAS.

The main event will be undefeated lightweight prospect, Eric De Leon (11-0, 5 KO’s) from Detroit, Michigan against Fidel Navarrete (8-1-2, 4 KO’s) from Highland, Indiana. This lightweight match is scheduled for eight rounds of action and southpaw De Leon will be facing the tough Navarette in what is expected to be a great fight on the scheduled seven match lineup.  De Leon was in Frisco, Texas, back in August of 2015 and he won his fight against Daniel Perales (5-2-1) after Perales retired in his corner in the third round of that fight.  Navarette is coming into this fight with only one blemish on his record, but he went the distance against Ronell Green (11-1, 5 KO’s) in his last fight on September of 2015 for the WBC United States (USNBC) Featherweight title.

In the Co-Main event, Matt Korobov (24-1,14 KO’s) from Orotukan, Russia, who last went up against former middleweight world champion Andy Lee at the end of 2014, returns to the ring against Jose Obando (12-8-1, 10 KOs) from Guadalajara, Mexico.  Korobov is in the Top Rank stable of fighters and this eight round matchup will be one of the best fights of the night in the middleweight division.

In the bantamweight division, Dallas’ Oscar Mojica (8-1, 1 KO) returns to the ring in his hometown and takes on undefeated Johnny Determan (10-0, 8 KO’s) from Omaha, Nebraska. Mojica captured the Texas Bantamweight Title in Febuary of 2015 and looks to get back on the winning track after a win and loss in his last two fights.  Expect Mojica to put on an exciting performance against the tough Determan.

Headlining an exciting undercard, super welterweight Alexander Besputin (1-0, 1KO) from Krasnoyark, Russia goes against K’lon Spencer (4-3, 3 KOs)
fom Beaumont, Texas (4-3, 3 KOs), and welterweight Amon Rashidi (1-0, 1 KOs) from DeSoto, Texas
takes on Marquis Hawthorne (2-1, 0 KOs)
from Waco, Texas.  Super welterweight Jarvis Sheppard from Dallas, Texas will be making his pro debut against Nubian Houston (0-1) from Shreveport, Louisiana.  Fort Worth’s John Vera (11-0, 7 KO’s) is also scheduled to be on the undercard.  TBA
