The Best Possibility For The Offensive Line

After a season of having a very sub-par offensive line the Patriots needed to make some changes. I give them credit it did not take them long to address the elephant in the room. The first step was to go out with the old, and they did that by firing Dave DeGuglielmo who has been the offensive line coach for the past two years. So I give the Patriots credit they found the problem and took care of it fast.

So now the second step to the process is find a new offensive line coach. But is a new face to the organization the right thing? I think not, the best case I see happening is the Patriots bring back former offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia who retired prior to the 2014 season.

This might just happen; Mike Reiss of ESPN.com has heard from a league source that the Patriots are open to bringing back Dante Scarnecchia.

Scarnecchia coached a total of 30 year with the Patriots, and for 15 of those he coached the offensive line. Scarnecchia may be 68 years old but I think he still has what it takes to make the Patriots offensive line of the best in the NFL.
