After all the speculation surrounding the Kings, Vlade Divac couldn’t find the right partner to make a trade with and decided to stay put and not force a trade just to make one.
Some of the names that were linked to the Kings were Pau Gasol, Thabo Sefolosha, Iman Shumpert and Tony Snell. Any of these players with the exception of Gasol would’ve been an upgrade defensively.
The question is, we didn’t know which players the Kings had to give up to acquire any of these wing defenders. Kings practice is at 2:15 today. It will be very interesting to find out what Divac will say.
ESPN sources say Sacramento is keeping Ben McLemore and, in the end, was hoping to make him part of a Pau Gasol deal
