Redskins send players, supplies to Haiti after Hurricane Matthew

New England Patriots v Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins are leading by example, doing their part to help the country of Haiti after it suffered under the conditions of Hurricane Matthew.

Fresh off the team’s win against the Baltimore Ravens, the organization sent players such as Pierre Garcon to act as ambassadors for the team and oversee the delivery.

Here’s a few images from the epic outreach by the team:

The Redskins should receive much in the way of praise for the gesture. This outreach goes far beyond a simple game, using the position to have a positive impact on the lives of others.

Thousands lost their homes in Haiti during the storm, so this is merely the first step from the sporting world and beyond in helping the country rebuild.
