Ben Roethlisberger Will Be out Vs. The Patriots And Dont’a Hightower Is Perfectly Fine With That

Breaking just last night in the middle of Sunday Night Football Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was rumored to have a torn meniscus. Since then the rumors have been confirmed and Big Ben will not be playing next Sunday when the Patriots travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.

Roethlisberger sustained a torn left meniscus in Sunday’s 30-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He will undergo surgery today and has no timetable on a return date.

This morning on WEEI’s Ordway, Merloni, and Fauria they had their weekly chat with Dont’a Hightower he was asked about playing the Steelers without Roethlisberger to what responded to by saying.

“Hey, best shot and all that stuff, but I want to win. Whatever we can do to get that edge. Not having him would be a pretty big edge. I am sure he will try and get out there.”

The 5-1 Patriots now get ready to take on the 4-2 Steelers Sunday afternoon kickoff for that one 4:25 pm.
