Patriots Get The Job Done In Pittsburgh

It was by no mean the Patriots finest hour but they go the job done and at the end of the day that is all that matters. The Patriots now advance to a 6-and-1 record with their 27-16 victory over the Steelers and are on top of the AFC East division. The Patriots are also now 4-and-0 vs. 2015 Playoff teams.

It was not an awful day for Brady who finished the game going 19-of-26 for 222 yards and 2 touchdowns. LeGarrette Blount also had a good day rushing for 127 yards and also scored 2 touchdowns.

The Steelers defence also could not stop Rob Gronkowski as a perfect Brady to Gronk pass resulted in a 36-yard touchdown. When asked about the touchdown he gave his typical Gronk response by saying “one more and I got 69 touchdowns, you know what I mean.”

But on a more serious side, we had another Gostkowski episode as he missed another extra point, his second one of the season. After the game, he said “I’m not happy with the way I’m playing. Mechanically, I need to be better. Just not playing good enough for this team right now”

Coach Belichick also commented on Gostkowski by saying “nobody works harder than Steve does…Mentally tough…He’ll work through it.” I sure hope he does this has been the one thing I have been on top of all season long was that Gostkowski has not been the same player since the AFC Championship. I hope he gets past it, I really do I just think he is in a bad funk right now and I hope he snaps out of it soon.

The Patriots will now go back to Foxboro as they get ready to take the trip to Buffalo to take on Rex Ryan and the Bills. Also, a reminder that the NFL trade deadline is at 4PM on November 1st which is a week from Tuesday.
