Video: David Perron breaks out with a hat trick

The other day I posted a quick article about how Blues fans need to be patient with David Perron. The overall theme of the article was that though Perron had been quiet statistically through five game, he was still passing the eye test and making helpful plays and eventually the counting stats would come.

Well, that’s exactly what happened on Saturday night. Perron broke out and in a big way.

Perron tallied a hat trick against the Calgary Flames and ended the night with four points while carrying the Blues to a 6-4 win.

That third goal was a real beauty. Perron was in all alone and used a spectacular move to finish off his hat trick. Here he showed the confidence and skills which make him a special player. When he’s on, he’s really on. The Blues can only hope Perron uses this game and builds on it to become a more consistent contributor in 2016-17.
