Goddell Save the Queen; 5 thoughts on the Redskins in London

– there are way too many penalties thrown in the NFL these days and especially this game.  As a consumer, it wears on you like a commercial break.  It’s getting unbearable to tolerate the stop and start nature of games these days for 3 hours plus.

– Gruden is not an elite coach.  He still has major clock management issues, I.e. throwing every play with 5 minutes left against the Lions.  Dumb.  You NEVER get the sense with Gruden that you are witnessing a master chess match.  You then expect him just to ram plays that work over and over and that doesn’t happen either.

– Cousins deep ball isn’t there this year and Jackson is too easily injured.  That takes a major component out of their game.  Cousins doesn’t have the ‘it’ factor that Prescott has.  He just lacks that crazy confidence.  He’s a middle of the pack QB that has value, at the right price.

– A lot Redskins are showing tremendous heart playing their tails off even with mediocre coaching and bad play calling.

– Look for the Redskins to finish 2nd or 3rd in the division this year.
