Marshawn Lynch just paid the Seahawks a visit…wearing team gear

Seattle Seahawks v San Francisco 49ers

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has NFL return rumors popping up left and right.

Lynch showed up in Seattle’s locker room to start the week. It was a seemingly unannounced visit, and the star running back wore Seahawks gear head to toe.

Greg Bell of the News Tribune described Lynch’s outfit:

Sweatshirt, shorts and sandals, all Seahawks logo-ed. More team gear than he wore when he played with the team, in fact. He was more apt while an active player to wear his person “Beast Mode” brand of apparel, or that of his hometown college team for which he played, the University of California.

Does Lynch feel homesick? Maybe. The only word he said to Bell?

“Smooth.”

Classic Lynch.

Beast Mode was apparently in town for Ricardo Lockette’s charity. The Seahawks still own his rights if he decides to return, so they’d pay him a salary prorated from whenever he came back, or deal his rights.

Either way, it sure wouldn’t hurt to see more Lynch in locker rooms and on fields in the near future. The man seems content with his new off-field career, but it would be silly to rule out a return.
