During an exhibition game against the University of Idaho, Arizona Wildcats’ player Ray Smith tore an ACL for the third time in his career. His last two season of college basketball were cut short due to torn ACL’s but this one was different. After hearing the news, Smith decided to retire from basketball and focus on his academic career.

The Wildcats, a top ten preseason team, will surely miss Smith.
