Redskins: 10 Reasons why you might be a Kirk Cousins hater

mccloughan-kirk

ONE. You are a RGIII Lover. True RGIII fanboys know the Redskins CANNOT win without him.

TWO: You are a Jay Gruden Hater. Gruden “lied” about making RGIII a conventional NFL quarterback.

THREE: Casserly Syndrome. Charley Casserly could not see past Kirk’s 2012 Draft rank as a “permanent NFL back-up.” Neither could higher ups in the Redskins front office who once figured Kirk would be grateful for a $12 million per year deal.

FOUR: Skip Baseless Conspiracy Syndrome. Skippy was the first to point out that the Redskins had a secret plan to replace RGIII with the white guy.

FIVE: The Lois Lane “Kirk-is-really-Daniel-Snyder” syndrome and nobody likes Dan Snyder. Ms. Lane was always suspicious that she never saw Clark Kent and Superman together in the same room. Well, have you even seen a picture of Kirk and Dan Snyder together? I dare you to run that Google search.

SIX: First impressions are lasting. The Redskins developed Kirk to be a back-up quarterback during his first three years with the team. That was fans and owner’s first impression of him. It did not change even when the Redskins began developing Kirk to be an NFL starter. Get over it.

SEVEN: The “I want the Redskins to fail to prove my darkest suspicions about the Redskins” syndrome. I … have no words for these people.

EIGHT: Surrounded by fabulous talent Syndrome: The Redskins were the best 4-win team in NFL history in 2014 with DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon, Jordan Reed and that defense. No wonder Kirk is successful now.

NINE: The “I believe everything Colin Cowherd trolls” syndrome. Cowherd labeled Kirk “fool’s gold” while mocking the Redskins for even offering the Franchise Tag.

TEN: It’s the Redskins. They must be wrong syndrome. They’re always wrong. If they are right about Cousins, they must have been wrong about Shanahan. OK. So, the Redskins earned this one. But that was then. This is now.

This post is 100 percent snarky satire. It grew from comments Hog Heaven left on a Facebook post about Cousins skeptics.
